Frederik is a Strategy and Operations expert with Moore Stephens. His department specialises in optimising internal operational processes in organisations in a diverse range of sectors. He spends most of his time in-house with clients. This has brought him into contact with sectors like the automotive industry and life sciences. It's the variety of the work that appeals to him.
Interacting with these different businesses and finding efficient solutions for them really excites me. One fascinating thing about this job is the variety of businesses I learn about and the projects I am involved with throughout the supply chain. This cross-fertilisation is an enormous advantage in this work.
Frederik doesn't spend much time at Moore Stephens offices, but that doesn't prevent him collaborating with others in identifying total solutions. "I've seen what a robust organisation this is", he says, "each business unit supports the others. This way of working is really the future". Frederik also greatly values the training courses and company visits with the Strategy and Operations department. "Moore Stephens' investment in this has for example allowed me to gain supply chain qualifications. We also visited a water company and a meat processing business where we picked up a vast amount of information about their production processes and the organisation of their storage facilities, in terms of both theory and practice. That was really fascinating."
Talking about the total concept behind Moore Stephens, Frederik observes that the way the firm puts its philosophy into practice is what gives it a bright future. "Their approach works well both in theory and in practice: it's all down to the way people here interact. Nobody acts superior to anybody else, and you can always rely on your colleagues. This makes it easy to provide extra support to clients when the need arises, and in a way we are always looking for new prospects."
